Ob Consult

I had a consult with my OB today about the surgery. I showed him the pictures from the sono, and he said it looked fine to him. He saw what the RE had called adhesions, but he disagreed. I gave him a CD with the pictures from the HSG, but he said he'd have to look at them later, as he has no CD drive on his laptop that he takes to appointments. He told me that he wants to see my records from the RE and talk with her before he'll schedule the surgery. He doesn't want me to have an unnecessary surgery, and that he's afraid going back in would just cause more scarring.

I told him that she said she won't do a transfer until I have the surgery. I'm willing to risk it. I set out to help Adam & Steve have a baby, and I will do what's necessary to achieve that goal. If the RE says I need a surgery, then I'll have the surgery. If we have it and it causes more scarring so that we can't move forward, then at least we tried. If I just give up, then I will definitely never be pregnant, and the guys won't get their baby. They can't afford to start over. I'm their only hope. And they're mine. If I don't get fixed, my surrogacy days are over. This will be my last one if I do get pregnant, but I'm not ready to be done until then.

I filled out the necessary paperwork for him to get my records, and I emailed my coordinator to tell her how the appointment went, and to expect a call from my OB. We scheduled another appointment for Monday. I'm expecting my period again in less than 2 weeks, so I hope it gets straightened out soon.
